everything dead in the basement except the broccoli, which seems to defy any but a minor infestation of aphids.
Amazingly the swiss chard upstairs next to the big window thrives with leaves up to 20 inches tall. It needs nothing more than what the earthbox type planter provides.

Basement green veggies.
Growing in leaps and bounds!
Dwarf choy sum. kale, spinach, broccoli, cilantro. chard.
demanding a nutrient change. TODAY!
The Northern Delight tomatoes: nearly dead in the unheated hot tub room. moisture and cold leading to low growth of plants & fungal death. In the basement, 3 patio tomatoes and a Tiny Tim tom with 5 billion mostly dead aphids and other plant eaters, killed with soap and some deadly insecticide that probably kills fish across 9,000 miles of ocean.
